Feature Highlights
25-Foot Reach*
With the press of a button, the pump draws fuel from the reservoir and sends it through the nozzle, simultaneously igniting it.
Runs on Gasoline
Fill the non-pressurized reservoir like any other outdoor tool. Uses gasoline or a gas/diesel mixture (up to 50% diesel).
Battery Powered
A rechargeable lithium ion battery powers the fuel pump and ignition system.
Arc Ignition
Ready when you need it with continuous electric arc ignition. No need to fumble around with a pilot torch to start this party.
27-Second Capacity
Enough firepower to handle most tasks. Expandable to over 4 minutes capacity using the Pulsefire Backpack Kit.
Built to Last
Billet aluminum. Robotic welds. 100% fluoroelastomer seals. We take pride in our products and stand behind them with a lifetime warranty. With over 50,000 sold, there's a reason we're #1 in the industry.

The Safest Way to Apply Fire
We've sold numerous systems to the general public, firefighters, farmers, controlled burn prescribers, and members of the U.S. Forestry Service. Everyone appreciates the ability to ignite things at a distance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Legality
Is it legal? Do I need a background check?
Ownership is generally legal in the United States without requiring any sort of background check.
As the product name states, it is simply a long range torch. However, Maryland and California do have restrictions regarding such devices. The city of Warren, Michigan also prohibits possession via local ordinance.
In Maryland, these systems appear to be outright prohibited to possess due to falling under the state's definition of a destructive device.
In California, non-stationary devices that are designed/intended to emit a burning stream at least 10 feet are prohibited without a license issued by the State Fire Marshal. We've developed a nozzle that reduces the output distance to less than 10 feet to create a compliant version that does not require a permit/authorization. Nozzles are replaceable and available in our store for those out-of-state trips or transfer to a new owner.
Check with your local laws. It is your responsibility to understand and adhere to all relevant regulations.
Safety
Is it safe to use?
The Pulsefire Long Range Torch system is a liquid fuel flame stream system that is built to be as safe as possible for a device of its nature. Our team developed every aspect with user safety in mind.
- Nozzle design helps keep fuel/flames at the nozzle, not near the user.
- On-demand ignition system - no open flame or pressurized butane.
- Non-pressurized fuel tanks, like common gasoline-powered tools.
- Check valve prevents fuel flow between activations.
- Built-in nozzle valve for full shutoff.
- Low voltage cutoff circuit prevents battery over-discharge.
Use good judgment. When powered, the trigger can shoot flames up to 30 feet. Always disconnect the battery during transport to prevent accidental activation.
Can the flames "blow-back" internally?
No. Internal airflow isn't sufficient to propagate flame. Tight pump geometry and mesh screens act as flame arrestors. Additional protection comes from the nozzle's fine orifice and check valve design.
Can I test the function of my new Pulsefire indoors?
No. The first warning in the user manual states: do not turn on the system indoors. Units are tested with flammable material and may have trace amounts left in the system. Only activate outdoors and in a safe direction.
Don't take all the steps to shoot fire unless you're ready to shoot fire.
Operation
What powers it?
A rechargeable high-output lithium polymer battery (included) powers the fuel pump and ignition system. This 12V battery is similar to those used in RC vehicles.
How long does the battery last?
Fully charged, it powers about 15 full tanks (or 2 tanks with a backpack). Performance varies by conditions and hardware. The system will cut power at around 10.5 volts to indicate the need for charging.
Spare batteries are available from hobby shops, Amazon, or our store.
Can the flame distance be adjusted?
Can it be modified to shoot shorter?
You can shoot fire at any distance up to the maximum range (about 25-30 feet), just like a bullet doesn't need to hit the farthest possible target. Control is based on your positioning and trigger timing.
